Overview
  • Through the CMM/CMMI, where will the software process improvement go? Agile process improvement is an important and main direction of the organizational process continuous improvement. The major difficulties in traditional software development process are complex needs; traditional project management always cannot keep up with the change in the customer; cannot enter the next stage without finishing the last stage; begin the actual encoding until mid-development stage; all "results" in previous stage are embodied in the form of documents; testing and integration is considered to be a secondary or finishing stage of development are often late than development stage; maintenance stage costs too much; many items cannot earn true benefits for owners.
  • Speed is a key factor in competitive success, the biggest challenge lies in software development on the one hand is to cope with changes in demand, on the other hand to complete the project in a tight schedule, so the software project team must be increasingly sophisticated, but more needs use of effective development process to ensure that the team is able to synergy. This is the main reason for the rise of Agile Process (Agile software development process) in recent years.
  • Embracing changeable Scrum agile bring us many benefits, such as reducing risk, improving quality, shortening time, reducing costs, improving customer and employee satisfaction and so on. This course will start from agile development and management practices to guidance systematically on how to use effective tools and methods for object-oriented Scrum agile development and management of practical methods which can improve project quality and success rate.

    Yi Lv
    Certified LeSS Trainer, Agile Coach
Yi Lv is living in Hangzhou, China. From late 2005, while working in Nokia Networks, he started to get acquainted with agile software development, in particular, Scrum. That turned out to be his first experience of LeSS adoption. He led a department inside that product organization and focused on developing teams and Scrum Masters to create sustainability. During the year of 2008, he also became the first Certified Scrum Trainer from China.

As an Agile Coach, he also worked in other industries such as Internet companies. His focus has been on large-scale product development, especially helping organizations benefit from LeSS and/or its adoption. One of those experiences has been documented as a LeSS case study, Huawei - LeSS without Scrum(https://yihuode.io/articles/324).

He has been learning and practicing systems thinking since 2009. Over the past couple of years, he wrote a series of blogs(https://blog.odd-e.com/yilv/) to help see system dynamics in organizational design and change. Why promoting systems thinking as a LeSS trainer and coach? He explained this in my view of LeSS(http://www.apple.com/). In short, he believes that LeSS opens up the stairway to a learning organization in the field of product development.
